Lets Try This Again

I had a blog, I was only really friends with my dad and his friends. My dad doesn't know anything about computers and he was on the infamous "Old Blogger". He was trying to change to the "New Blogger" and decided to use my e-mail as his own. My entire blog was transformed into his, all my comments had his name on them, the poems and thoughts I had shared with these people. I was really upset, my thoughts, my feeling, my writings, were now labeled as his. So I made this, my little haven, my dad won't know about it, he cant comment on it, he can't mess it up. I don't care if anyone visits me, comments on my writings, becomes my friend, it's just my haven.

Go girl!

Give your dad a boot up the backside! Outrageous of him to do that! I was just over at his, and was telling him how you can transfer your old post comments over to here... by copying and pasting them in the comment box, then using 'other' as the identity, write the name the person used on the original comment, then if you right-click on their name, you can get the link... which you put in where it says 'your web page'... you haven't been blogging for so long that isn't do-able... with a little patience

then again, you could just start afresh, and forget all that went before! :-D

I tried to leave a comment before, but I'm of your dad's age group and therefore just as dumb, clicked it away into nothingness.
I commented on your marching band piece, how well you expressed all those things, sense of discipline, the pride of being part of that entity that can focus, do the seemingly impossible, individuals yet working as one superb entity.
And winning. And then talking of your fellow feeling for your rivals, your friendship with them.
I was very impressed.
That dumb guy who pressed the wrong button? I've been reading his blog for a while now. I think maybe he's learned some good stuff from you. And I can see how proud he is of you.
Keep the keys to this blog safely out of his reach. But forgive him. When he does something dumb, it's just another sign that he needs you too.
And that despite the fact that he is so much older than you, inside we never really grow up. Ever.

And poetry. I try all the time, and fail. So I love to read other people's poems, have them show me things I'd otherwise miss.
Thank you.

So you were joined at the hip for awhile, eh? Well, he did feel awful and said he thought he'd be dead meat and that you'd never speak to him again! You took it well!

This looks like a great blog...I like the purple on black..very easy to read. And it looks like you have been postingsome new poems.

I actually linked to you in my blog about being a cheerleader and band in high school with pics of me when I was 16...but darn, it's your old blog! Check out the 2nd last blog, "School Spirit" ...I forget how you link in comments! I'm worse than your dad!

I like the name of your blog! Things are as they should be once again!

annelisa - I'm not sure that I want to transfer my comments over, I think I'm just going to start fresh, maybe my dad messing with my blog will make this one better than that one, it felt very 'forced'

soubriquet - thank you for the comment about band, I'll go check that out, I love being in the band and am sad that that chapter of my life has closed, but I suppose I'm off to do bigger and better things, I think I should copy paste "Sisterly Love" into this blog, I think that one turned out very nicely. Poetry for me is very freeing, it allows me to express feelings or thoughts that would be difficult to express in prose, you might enjoy the poem I re-worked, if you like that kind of stuff

Mom - I did feel very... constricted by the link between me and my dad, he kind of happened across this one on accident I think, oh well! Thank you, I had been meaning to change the colors for my old blog, but never got around to it, this is much easier on the eye, in my opinion. I'll be sure to go check out your pictures and stuff, that should be pretty cool!!
